Getting here
A flight to Aktion, then half an hour by road.

Via Athens
From Athens airport to Palairos: 370 km and just over four hours, on the motorway to Patras, across the Rio-Antirrio bridge, then north on the Ionia Odos. The KTEL bus takes about six hours. This is the route for flights from North America, and out of season, when Aktion has no more flights.
By car, on the ferry from Italy
Brindisi to Igoumenitsa in 8 hours, Bari to Igoumenitsa in 8 hr 30 to 13 hours, Ancona to Igoumenitsa in 16 hr 30 to 21 hr 30, Venice to Patras in about 32 hours. From Igoumenitsa it’s another 116 km and 1 hr 40 to Palairos. From Patras, 147 km and 1 hr 50.
Once you’re here
A car is close to essential: the beaches, Lefkada and the ferries to the islands are all twenty minutes or more away. The village itself you can do on foot.
